She served as the UK Special government representative to Business for Cyber Security “ an appointment by Prime Minister David Cameron that she has held from the time she stepped down in May 2011 from being Minister of State for Security and Counter Terrorism at the British Home Office with a permanent position on the newly created National Security Council. Prior to serving as a Minister in the Coalition government, with a seat on the House of Lords, she was David Cameron’s national security adviser while in opposition and the author of much of the Conservative party’s national security policy. She is patron of “Cyber Security Challenge” in the UK.
