Michelle Herschfeld is an extrordinary woman. She raised 4 boys all while working hard as a lawyer in the UK and is now a loving grandma who loves spending quality time with each of her grandchildren. Michelle has such fond memories of the food her mother and grandmother made for her and still makes her mother’s famous sponge cake. In typical Jewish fashion, Michelle can tell you about her ancestors and their journey from Eastern Europe to the UK in great detail and as a proud Jew, she has always taken an active role in community life, spending many years volunteering for Jewish humanitarian causes.

Ruti David is the Iraqi grandmother you didn’t know you needed. She’s a true lady, gracious and glamorous, and also a woman who has worked hard for her marriage, her family, and herself throughout the years. Together with her late husband Uri, they were involved in philanthropic work and advocacy for Israel and specifically played a pivotal role in preserving Iraqi Jewish history in the museum of Babylonian Jewry in Or Yehuda. They raised their daughters with a focus on educating and nurturing, each taking their own path. Yudit’s love for education brought her back to the classroom as a teacher. Yudit now resides in Herzliya with her husband and loves spending time with her grandchildren both in Israel and in London.
